Visually Appealing

Just a blog made by a college freshman for a class.
I just realized that I only have one post left to make. So i figured I would make it about Spider Man Turn off the dark. I was one of the lucky few who got to see the show. I must say it was horrible. I was just baffled by how horrible it was. The set was so very awesome. Other then that..no…just no. It was like they made music and they made a story line and tried to smash it together and it just didn’t work out. At all. I was glad I got to see it. I am also a big fan of spider man and Marvel comics but this was just disappointing. Plus the main actor was switched out after the first act. We weren’t sure if he hurt himself or blew out his voice (which he apparently did a lot). I just wouldn’t suggest anyone to waste the money to see this. only up side to this performance: I got interviewed by MTV and got a shirt before they completely changed the show.

I feel the need to acknowledge these beautiful beings for my last post. Being a huge music fan (really I am) and a person who was given a chance to live in England I just can’t ignore them. One Direction is a boy band that was created from the talent show The X Factor. They are currently really huge in several countires and are just now blowing up in America. I know personally they will be in Houston and Dallas within the next 2 months since two of my friends are going to the concert. I personally think these guy are awesome. Their music wasn’t what I expected it do be. They have a hint of boy band sound along with a mix of many other genere.

I went to go see Texas State production of Hair. It was pretty amazing. I was highly impressed by the good work they did. It was a lot of fun and very entertaining. The set was beautifully made and was so colourful. The actors did an amazing job portraying their characters without overly exaggerating it. The costumes were very fitting as well without over doing the whole “60’s” theme of the show. I highly enjoyed the show and I would recommend it to anyone who gets the chance to see it.

Ive noticed every time I watch it I get extremely angry. The girls come off as extremely oblivious. It could just be the producers making it seem like these girls are really dumb, or the girls are just really dumb. I like to think the latter. Its just interesting seeing the girls get pissed off at their parents because they tell them they can’t go to school, work, do a sport they used to do, and take care of a child at the same time. Its kind of infuriating. And the girls excuse for getting pregnant was  ”Oh we didn’t use a condom once and thought we were in the clear.” how very wrong you were girl.

I never once thought about my wedding. I never planned on my future. A couple of my friends have a lot already planned out and when they want to have kids and all. All I could think is “I just want to graduate and be working by this time”. It never crossed my mind. But these rings are extremely beautiful. It would be so awesome to have a ring like this. I think I just like the thought of it being sparkly. It would be pretty cool to own something like this in the future. Also to be asked in an amazing way. I just like it if some thinks out of the box for special occasions.

I would love to get a tattoo on my side. especially with words or a saying. (I particularly like this saying.) However, I would have to wait until I had gone through pregnancy and all that mumbo jumbo that would in any way distort the tattoo. So at times I think getting a tattoo on my side is pointless. On top of that I really hate needles. Like really really hate them. Ive been blowing off getting my bellybutton pierced because of my fear for needles. So the chances of me ever getting a tattoo ever is rare. I do really want one though. Especially the on in my first post. I think i will just have to one day get up and do it. Kony 2012: Part II – Beyond Famous.

I find it very interesting that when Kony 2012 was launched it was basically on every social media you could think of. Yet, now that this new video just came out 2 weeks ago no one seems to care. Everyone was all about making awareness about Kony 2012 and invisible children but now….silence. I never hear anything about this movement anymore and I was basically proven this was just another fad. I’m all for Joseph Kony being stopped. I do not agree with his choices however this whole movement is crap. There are so many facts about Invisible Children not being a trusted organization. My personal opinion: If you want someone or something to be stopped then make a free movement. Don’t make people pay just so they can participate in the movement. 

I find it really interesting looking back on my life and seeing how much my ambitions have changed. My dad has always been a big fan of the Tennessee Titans. He claimed that he was an Oilers fan first but moved to Titans when they changed over. I would always want to play football and be a pro football player but since I was a girl there was obviously no way I could. So I decided I was going to do the next best thing. I was going to be a pro cheerleader for the Tennessee Titans. However, that dream shattered when I watched an MTV show called World Of Jenks which coincidentally enough featured the life of a Titans cheerleader. It was nice wake up call because I learned that the cheerleaders earned very little money. I guess it was nice to see that 2 years before I went to college and wasted my time.

Time to dance by The Shoes. Probably one of my favorite music videos of all time. Kind of a disturbing video considering the fact that you sit and watch a man commit murders for 8 minutes. However, the murder is Jake Gyllenhaal so one can’t help but enjoy watching it. I always find anything he’s in extremely entertaining. Also this video is directed by Daniel Wolfe who is fantastic. You can see a bit of relation between this video and the video he directed for Plan B’s music video for “Praying”.

I’ve been dealing with a lot of hate lately from people back home. Its really not a big deal for me. Moving around so much taught me that if people to like me then its no use wasting my time on them. Its kind of turning into that moving here to San Marcos. In high school I guess I “dressed differently” then I do now. I will admit that my wardrobe did take a drastic change from school shirts to “nicer” clothing. But I don’t think it meant I changed at all. I still feel that I am the same person I have been for years. I still listen to the same music, watch the same tv shows, the only thing that really changed is my clothes. The only reason I changed my wardrobe was because now I didn’t have to worry about a dress code. Its so much easier to shop and not having to worry about “is this dress to short? Is this tank two inches?” all that type of stuff.  I guess just to end this little rant I’m not being fake. I’m just finally able to be more myself then before.
